The Camano Arts Association "exists for the purpose of initiating and executing projects and activities and programs to promote the visual arts". Art education is a vital part of this promotion. Currently, Camano Arts Association is involved as follows:

A. Camano Arts Association annually awards scholarships to graduating seniors who will continue their studies in the arts. The scholarship has increased from one $1000.00 scholarship to two $1000.00 scholarships.

B. Arts in Public Places, a Camano Arts Association project, places artwork in two local schools. Teachers use the works as inspiration for a variety of lessons.

C. Camano Arts Association artists volunteer their time and expertise to "A Day of Art" in local schools. Each artist plans and teaches a session and happy students go home with an increased knowledge of art and a piece of artwork.

D. At Stanwood High School, A P Graphic Arts students interface with volunteers from the Camano Arts Association, with the artists acting as mentors. Actually, the student artists and the Camano Arts Association members inspire and assist each other.

E. The annual Mother's Day Studio Tour provides an excellent opportunity for artists to demonstrate and talk about their work with the public.
