Guided Walk and Talk Series | February 13th, 18th and March 14th

Join us on these free walks to connect with nature and learn about the importance of protecting critical climate resilient lands, healthy wildlife habitats, natural shorelines and family farms, as we explore preserves protected by the Whidbey Camano Land Trust.

Space is limited for all walks. 

February 13th | Hammons Family Farm Preserve Clinton – 10:00am

Do you LOVE nature? Join us on Valentine’s Eve as we stroll through Hammons Preserve – starting with stunning views of Cultus Bay and then heading into a beautiful, secluded forest. Learn how Hammons Preserve was protected and about Washington State’s Trust Land Transfer program. Come see the new five-acre expansion protected this year, as well as a sneak peek of the new trail expansion, not yet open to the public. We will also highlight local vegetation, wildlife, and the importance of wildlife habitat corridors.

Level of Difficulty: Difficult
Difficult with uneven walking terrain, slight elevation gain and extended periods of standing. Because this walk is rated difficult, no dogs, strollers, bikes or walking aides (aside from walking sticks/poles) will be permitted.

• Approximate time 2 hrs / distance of 2 miles roundtrip 
• Sturdy closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for weather condition
• Walking sticks, binoculars, and cameras welcome 
• No dogs

February 18th | Keystone Preserve Coupeville – 10:00am

March 14th | Admiralty Inlet Preserve Coupeville – 10:00 am

Join us to experience this exceptional nature preserve first hand and learn about the site’s history and native flora and fauna, including the two rare prairies and remnant old-growth forest.

Level of Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Easy to moderate hike, approximate distance 1.5 miles with some tree root obstacles on trails.

• Approximate time 2 hrs / distance of 1.5 miles roundtrip
• Sturdy closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for weather condition
• Walking sticks, binoculars, and cameras welcome
• No dogs
