This is a FREE community event, fun for the whole family.
SCAAC’s Annual Open House is a festive evening of art and community. This year’s theme is ARTchitecture, to celebrate the design of Stanwood’s upcoming Meyer Art Center.
Our art exhibit will feature the personal and professional artwork of local architects Dave Pelletier, John Hadley, Dan Nelson, Jayme Zold and Mark Curfman.
Enjoy the musical stylings of Flora Cummings, Dale Cummings, Marcia Thumma, and Jason Thumma. Flora is in music performance at UW, and Dale, her father, will be on guitar. Marcia is a fiddler and violinist, and Jason, (her son) will be on acoustic bass. They’ll be playing many former arrangements made by Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas for previous weekend workshops held in Coupeville, and just last year, in Stanwood (see them perform live on Jan 14 at the High School Performing Arts Center – details on our website).
ANNUAL ORNAMENT & GREETING CARDS!
Support SCAAC’s mission to build community through the art with your purchase of our Annual Ornament! Liz Park’s adorable holiday design is available on an ornament (only 200 produced!) or greeting card.
Create a community art piece with “Drawn Together” and try your hand at building your own art center with Magnatiles.
EAT, DRINK, BE MERRY!
We’re thrilled that SAAL Brewing Co. is providing the food this year. We’ll also have drinks and good times.
