Whidbey Art Gallery members are welcoming guest artist, photographer John Hummel and featured artist tile creator Carol Rose Dean. The gallery is brimming with art for every taste and hundreds of cards to go with any gift. We have a metal garden and wallwork, wrapped rocks, ceramics, pottery, paintings of all sorts, photography, jewelry, beadwork and so much more.
The Art Walk will be on Saturday, November 4, from 5-7. Many of the artists will be there to discuss their work. It’s a lovely way to spend time in Langley, so treat yourself and your friends and family to an outing and get ideas for gift-giving.
Tile maker Carol Rose Dean will fill the walls with colorful, creative pieces. Her work is remarkable.
Photographer John Hummel says: “Most of my life, I have worked with medium format black and white film, loving the interplay of light and shadow that black and white imaging provides. In 2001, with the advent of digital photography, I added color images to my repertoire, loving the richness of color’s variations that nature has to offer. The body of my work has been in the area of nature with a focus on landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife.”
The gallery will begin winter hours and open daily from 11 am -4 pm. We look forward to seeing you in the gallery on Second St in Langley.
