Dolors Ruscha
Dolors Ruscha, a native of Barcelona, Spain, has been captivated by color and design from a young age. Her artistic journey began with a keen interest in jewelry making, stained glass, mosaics, and fused glass.
She pursued her passion by studying at the renowned Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, followed by further training at the Pilchuck Glass School. With over two decades of experience, Dolors has specialized in fused glass artistry. Her favorite materials are dichroic and iridized glass, which she masterfully incorporates in her fusing techniques at her studio on Camano Island.
Currently, Dolors is venturing into sculpture creation in collaboration with her life partner. Simultaneously, she continues to expand her collection of unique glass jewelry pieces.
Her inspirations are deeply rooted in her Spanish origins, with significant influence from the mosaic-laden benches at Parc Guell in Barcelona and the mesmerizing coastal contours of the Mediterranean Sea.
