My work reflects an affinity for small discarded materials, (quail eggshells, seed pods, old buttons, hog fence staples) enjoyment of beading and growing up with a Dad who could make anything. When the lamps are off, the shade is plain.  When the lamps are on, my paintings can be seen.  I am primarily self taught, began as a sketch artist and, when pencil didn’t show up on the lamps, I independently learned how to use acrylics.  My beading skills began with basic jewelry making and have expanded with use of an increasingly wide array of materials.
