I earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design with a minor in Art from Western Michigan University. That education led to a career of more than 30 years in automotive and consumer electronics design, a journey that took my family from Michigan to Texas and eventually to Washington State.

Throughout my professional career, time for artmaking was more limited, though I continued to paint and explore mixed media whenever possible. In 2024, I founded a small design consultancy focused on designing with responsible materials, reflecting my passion for sustainable product making.

After moving to Camano Island the following year, I am finding the space and time to create art. I am now focused on becoming more expressive in my work—embracing exploration, experimentation, and continuous learning through painting and mixed media.

I approach art with curiosity, viewing each piece as part of an ongoing journey. I look forward to learning alongside other artists, sharing my evolving work, and becoming more involved in a supportive and inspiring art community.
