Five Percent Fee Policy

The CAA charges 5% of sales (pretax) to help cover the costs of the Camano Studio Tour. This is in addition to the Tour Fee paid with application.

  • ‘Sale’ is defined as the selling price of an item without sales tax.
  • The payment is due May 31st of that tour year.
  • Artist’s cost of producing a piece of art (such as materials and labor) is not to be considered in
    the calculation.
  • Galleries that pay Artists a commission on the sale, the 5% fee is on the part of the gallery’s
    portion of the sale
  • Calculations of the amount are on an honor system
  • Tour Artists will not be allowed on the following year’s Tour if fees are left unpaid for the previous year.
  • All such Fees will be applied in full to the Studio Tour’s General Income.
