Join the 2026 Studio Tour – New Artists
Thank you for your interest in joining the Camano Arts Association Studio Tour. Use this application if:
- You are a new artist to the tour.
- You are returning after two or more years off the tour.
- If two or more artists operate under a single business license and collaborate to create a unified body of work (for example, jointly produced glass vessels, clay pots, or other products created as a single business), they will be required to pay one participation fee of $350 for the Studio Tour. This exception does not apply to artists who merely share a household or business name but create and present separate, individual works. Final determination of eligibility under this policy rests with the Board or Tour Steering Committee.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Be a resident of Camano Island/Stanwood OR be a Regional Artist hosted by a Local Artist resident of Camano Island/Stanwood or showing at an approved V-3 location.
- Be a CAA Member Artist at time of application. (Tour artists are encouraged to be integral members of the Camano Arts Association and the greater community year-round; thus, membership is required.)
- Be registered as a business with the State of Washington. Sales tax payments are the responsibility of the artist.
- Must understand and agree to comply with the Terms and Conditions for participation.
* If you would like your own studio/gallery as your venue for the studio tour, a tour committee member will reach out to schedule an appointment. The suitability of a studio is based on several factors including available parking, accessibility, size, and appearance of a working environment, as defined in the guidelines. Please contact the Tour Director if you have any questions regarding your potential new venue location.
FEES:
Producing the Studio Tour and providing the advertising and printed materials costs a considerable amount. Your fees along with grant funding make it all possible. If accepted onto the tour, you will ultimately pay: a one-time $50 Application fee, $350 Tour fee, and 5% of sales during the days of the tour (before tax). If you make $5,000 in sales, you will owe $250 to CAA following the tour. Being on the tour does NOT guarantee you will make a certain amount of money. Your own relationships and marketing strategies to your customer base are very important. This is a high quality, professional, working artists tour.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:
The Studio Tour and our other CAA programs (gallery, mentorship, meetings) take literally hundreds of hours to produce and facilitate. Each studio tour artist and gallery are required to volunteer 20 hours by start of tour 2026. Please see the Volunteer Hour Guidelines.
