2027 Venue Options
It is the artist’s responsibility to find a venue for the Studio Tour. All new Studios. Galleries and Venues must be juried by a member of the Studio Tour Committee (see Studio Guidelines or Gallery Guidelines)- there is no additional fee for this.
Option 1: Request to have your studio/gallery juried.
If you would like your own studio/gallery as your venue for the studio tour, you need to complete the Application for a New Studio. A tour committee member will reach out to schedule an appointment. The suitability of a studio is based on several factors including available parking, accessibility, size, and appearance of a working environment, as defined in the guidelines. Please contact the Tour Director if you have any questions regarding your potential new venue location.
Option 2: Be a Guest Artist.
Approved Studio Venues may host up to (3) guest artists- artists who have been juried onto the tour and paid their individual tour fees- for a total of 4 juried artists. Existing Studio Venues are encouraged to host guest artists if they feel they have the required space and if it would be a good fit for their venue. Artists with venues able to host others should notify the Tour Director, and those looking for space can ask the Tour Director to see if they are aware of any options, but CAA is not ultimately responsible for ensuring a tour venue for accepted artists.
Option 3: Alternative Approved Venue in Stanwood or on Camano Island.
The CAA offers an option for approved artists who do not have adequate parking or display space in their own studio or who are regional artists without a studio within the tour boundaries. If enough artists require space to show their work, the CAA will sponsor rental of the South Camano Grange for up to 8 artists. Alternatively, the Camano Island School House may be available for up to 2 artists to secure their own rental agreement with the venue.
